Wheelchair User Featured in Target Ad
This week I was impressed that in its ad for a camping tent, Target featured an adult wheelchair user as one of the models. She looks like an active camper. Unfortunately it's not an accessible tent, but as a manual wheelchair user, she can probably manage. Some advertisements feature children in wheelchairs in a token way, but it's rare to see an adult in a wheelchair in mainstream publications.

I'm glad you posted this. If you have the energy, you should forward the link to the post to Target so they can see it matters, which might encourage them to do it some more.
It's a sad statement on how rarely it happens that my first impulse was to ask you if you had a scanner so you could post a picture of it. Sigh.
Thanks, Lene--I did try but couldn't get it to work. I'll give it another go tomorrow since I was disappointed it wouldn't post too.
Good idea to let them know! They have a strong foothold in the U.S. market at least.
